Waldhausen is a little village in a countryside called Strudengau near the largest river in Austria, the Danubia. It belongs to the district Perg. With about 47,66 square kilometres and about 3000 inhabitants Waldhausen is a real rustic capital. There are large areas full of wood and it is very hilly. The mayor is Franz Schaumüller, who is a member of the social democratic party.
We have a primary school, a secondary modern school and a kindergarten. We have got a lot of taverns and a new market cafe. Since the 12th November 2008 we have got a UNIMARKT which is very important for the business in Waldhausen.
The baroque “Stiftskirche” and the lake, those which you can see on the photo are very important for the tourism of my capital town. We have got different sports grounds and I like this very much.
I think Waldhause is a very calm village. So I would like having a discotheque or some more possibilities where teenagers can spend their freetime.
